Gampen and Lindeberget are two dang good hiking spots, with Gampen bein' the tallest peak around. Up in the northwest part of Vestmarka, Lindeberget offers some mighty fine views and so do the surroundin' areas. There's plenty of trails and old roads, marked on Asker Skiklubb's Vestmark map from 2017, but hardly anyone uses 'em 'cause they're so far outta the way.
The area 'round Gampen, Damvann, and Sørelva—yeah, that valley or creek north of Damvann—is real wilderness country. Up on Gampen, there's lots of good blueberry bushes, too. Lindeberget and Gampen might remind ya of a neighborhood name in Oslo, not too far off, thinkin' of Lindebergveien right by Øvrevoll racetrack in Bærum. Speaking of racetracks, these trails are perfect for tearin' up on a mountain bike, and probably good for horseback ridin', too. So grab the handlebars of a real mountain bike or take the reins for a ride.
And here's the list of all them trails I'm talkin' 'bout:
The trails past Nedre Burås and Damefallet, calm down 'n' take it easy on the Lindeberg Kleiva trail.
The Dæleveien trails past lower 'n' upper Dæleveibonn, 'n' the salty road past Gampen.
The trail past Munken Jaremyrbonn 'n' Kveisebonn.
The Seter Kleiva trail 'n' the trail past Toverud Setra Toverud Bonn.
The Brenneng Kleiva trail.
